Adding a spend tiers promotion
A Spend Tiers promotion rewards clients for spending more. You set two or more tiers, each with a minimum spend and a percentage off. The qualifying items on the sale are added up, the highest tier the total reaches is used, and that percentage is taken off each qualifying item.
In this example clients get 10% off colour services when they spend $100 or more on them, 15% off from $150, and 20% off from $200.
- Click Settings in the left menu.
- Under Promotions, click Spend Tiers.

- Click Add New.
- Under Promotion Details, enter the Promotion Name and a Description. Set Status to Active when you want the promotion to run.
- Under Spend Tiers, fill in the two tier rows provided. For each tier enter:
- Minimum Spend - the qualifying items must add up to at least this amount for the tier to apply. Each tier's minimum spend must be higher than the one before it.
- Discount Value - the percentage off for that tier.
- Maximum Discount - the most that can be taken off each item at that tier. This is required.
- Click Add Tier to add more tiers, or Remove to take one away. A promotion needs at least two tiers.

- Under Who Qualifies, set any conditions for the client or sale, or leave them blank.
- Under Applies To, click the Services and Products that count towards the spend and receive the discount. Here we have chosen the colour services.

- Under Locations and Available Days & Times, choose where and when the promotion runs.
- Under Redemption, leave Redemption Mode as Automatic so the right tier applies by itself as items are added, or choose Manual or Code Required.
- Under Limits, optionally restrict how many times the promotion can be redeemed.
- Click Save.
As staff add qualifying items to a sale the promotion re-checks the total and moves up to the next tier automatically. If the total is below the lowest tier the Apply Promotions dialog explains how far away the client is. See Applying Promotions to a Sale.
