Managing Client Memberships

Once you have sold a membership there are various tasks you can perform to manage those memberships.


Viewing Membership Details


  1. Navigate to the Clients section on the left-hand side of the screen.


  1. Use the search bar to find the client who would like to switch their payment method and click on their profile.


  1. From the user's profile, select the Membership tab. This will only appear if the client has an active membership. Here you can view all of the clients membership details such as start date, billing frequency and more.

Changing Payment Method

There may be a time where the credit card of the client attached to the membership may need to change. An example of this is if the credit card expires and needs to be changed. In order to do this just follow the steps.


  1. From the Memberships tab on the client screen, click Update Credit Card.


  2. In the Update Membership Credit Card window, you can input a new credit card that will be used in the future.


  3. Please make sure to click save after entering the new credit card and it will then be used for all future payments.

Pausing and Resuming a Membership

A client may at some stage wish to pause a membership. This is different from cancelling a membership in that they can resume it at a future date if required, without the need to add a new membership.

To do so is very easy, just find an active membership on the client and click the Pause button.

The client will stop being charged until the membership is resumed.


Cancelling a Membership

If a client wishes they can cancel a membership. This is different from pausing in that it cannot be resumed in the future and they would need to purchase a new membership to resume.



Retrying a failed payment

There may be an occasion when an automatic membership payment fails. This could be because the client does not have enough funds in their account, or the credit card has expired. In the event of a payment failing a number of things will happen.

Firstly, a notification will be shown on the system for the failure, with a link to the client, for easy access to retry the payment.


Once you click on the clients name in the notification and look at their Memberships tab you will see the membership with the failed billing. You may need to update their credit card at this stage, and you can click the Retry button to attempt another payment.
